Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) is
removed from industrial gas streams using
TurboSOx. The recovered SO2 is processed into a
usable
by-product, providing a Return On Investment (ROI) from its use or sale.
The TurboSOx Advantage
TurboSOx uses the TurboSOx
Amine,
a proprietary solvent developed and
supplied by The
Dow Chemical Company.
The TurboSOx Amine is used exclusively
in the TurboSOx SO2 Recovery System.
TurboSonic's patented-process
represents a 25% savings over the
capital costs of traditional mineral-based
Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD).
Also, where tail gases from existing
CLAUS
plants and acid plants require
further SO2 removal, TurboSOx offers significant
savings over additional
stages of the existing
process.
Benefits
- Demonstrated 99.9999%
SO2 removal
- Small equipment footprint
- Essentially no waste
by-products
- Pre-treatment to remove
gaseous and particulate
contaminants (HCl, SO3, etc.)
available
- Amine stream is treated to
remove impurities, including
heat-stable salts
- Accommodates high-sulfur
fuels, providing faster
payback
- Pilot plant available for onsite process
