TurboSonic
Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board – TSTA), a global
leader in the design and supply of industrial air pollution control
technologies, today announced receipt of a US$4.3 million contract for
the design and supply of four SonicKleen™ Wet Electrostatic
Precipitators (WESPs) from a biofuels producer in the USA.
The Wet Electrostatic Precipitator
is the best available emissions control technology for collection of
fine respirable particulate, condensible matter, and acid mist. The
equipment is scheduled for delivery in the current fiscal year ending
June 30, 2009.
Edward Spink,
TurboSonic's CEO commented, “Completion of this contract will
bring the number of systems we have supplied to this customer over the
past five years to thirty-five. Growth of the biofuels market is
expected to continue as the demand for
“carbon-neutral” alternatives to non-renewable
fuels increases. TurboSonic continues to actively pursue opportunities
related to production of alternative fuels as cellulosic ethanol,
pelletizing, biodiesel and other biofuels processes are developed. We
believe that, by mitigating its environmental impact, we are
contributing significantly to the “greening” of the
production process.”
