TurboSonic Receives US$1.6 Million in New Orders

TURBOSONIC TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (OTC Bulletin Board – TSTA), a leader in air pollution control technology, today announced its receipt of new systems orders totaling US$ 1.6 million (CDN$ 2.5 million) subsequent to the close of the third fiscal quarter.

The orders include systems to control particulate and CO2 emissions from a power boiler at a pulp mill in the southeast USA, to control SO2 emissions at a Canadian cement plant, and to provide evaporative gas cooling at two US cement plants.   The products involved include TurboSonic’s Turbotak Wet Scrubber, TurboSorb Semi-dry Scrubber and SoniCoolTM Evaporative Gas Cooling systems.

Edward Spink, TurboSonic’s Chairman and CEO, said “we are very pleased to have received these new orders for a range of our products.   They provide further evidence that most aspects of our business are recovering from the effects of the recent worldwide recession, which will in turn contribute to our expected return to profitability in fiscal 2003."
