TURBOSONIC TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (OTC
Bulletin Board – TSTA), a leader in air pollution control technology, today
announced today announced the receipt of new orders exceeding US$1 million
($1.5 million Canadian) for its proprietary air pollution control equipment.
Sales for the three quarters ended March 31, 2000 have already exceeded sales
for all of last year and are now at record levels. The backlog of orders at
March 31, 2000 is also at an all time high of $2 million ($2.9 million Canadian).
The orders include two proprietary SoniCoolTM
Evaporative Gas Cooling systems to be installed at a steel mill and a copper smelter,
a proprietary TurbotakTM Scrubber system
to control chlorine dioxide emissions and a retrofit of an existing scrubber system
with state-of-the-art TurboSonic equipment.
Sales for fiscal 2000 are on track to exceed $6 million
($8.8 million Canadian), more than double the sales volume for fiscal 1998
and a 50% increase over fiscal 1999.
