TURBOSONIC TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (OTC Bulletin Board - TSTA) today announced
the receipt of over $1.7 million ($2.5 million Canadian) in new orders for its
proprietary air pollution control equipment. The orders, which were all received
in the first quarter ended September 30, 1999, cover the full range of the
Company's proprietary products - its Turbotak
SO2 Scrubbers, SoniCool® Evaporative
Gas Cooling systems and a SonicKleen™
Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP). All
of the orders are for customers in the U.S. and Canada.
Edward F. Spink, TurboSonic's Chairman and CEO stated: "I am very pleased that
our customer base is expanding and that the effect of our extensive marketing
efforts over the last year has increased sales levels substantially among all
of our product lines. In addition to orders from customers in the forest products,
cement, steel, aluminum and copper industries, we have received an order from a
ceramic refractory producer, a new industry for our proprietary products. I am
confident that this positive sales trend will continue for at least the near
term, which augers well for our financial performance."
