TurboSonic Technologies Announces Receipt Of
New Orders Totaling In Excess Of $1.7 Million

TURBOSONIC TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (OTC Bulletin Board - TSTA) today announced the receipt of over $1.7 million ($2.5 million Canadian) in new orders for its proprietary air pollution control equipment. The orders, which were all received in the first quarter ended September 30, 1999, cover the full range of the Company's proprietary products - its Turbotak SO2 Scrubbers, SoniCool® Evaporative Gas Cooling systems and a SonicKleen™ Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP). All of the orders are for customers in the U.S. and Canada.

Edward F. Spink, TurboSonic's Chairman and CEO stated: "I am very pleased that our customer base is expanding and that the effect of our extensive marketing efforts over the last year has increased sales levels substantially among all of our product lines. In addition to orders from customers in the forest products, cement, steel, aluminum and copper industries, we have received an order from a ceramic refractory producer, a new industry for our proprietary products. I am confident that this positive sales trend will continue for at least the near term, which augers well for our financial performance."
